The Mondrian South Beach is located on the waterfront of Biscayne Bay, just a short drive from downtown Miami. The whimsical and visionary project by dutch designer Marcel Wanders was inspired by the Sleeping Beauty Castle.
The large hall windows height ceiling offer spectacular views of the bay, while the eye is drawn to the masterpiece of the room: the exclusive self-supporting staircase.
Chic and dramatic living spaces are furnished with original bespoke pieces, including iconic items such as the carved chairs, milled tables, vine cabanas and the signature floating staircase. Black and gold patterned furnishings and oversized brass bell shaped lights, the kissing corners in the garden, the private party places and aqua spa bring a magical side to the atmosphere of the hotel. The mirrored mosaic spa-reception desk scatters light across the dimly lit room.
The genius of Marcel Wanders is also expressed in the suites, where the décor, carpets and tapestries create a provocative but luxurious atmosphere, that stimulates the imagination and invites to relaxation.
The outdoor is the flagship of the Mondrian South Beach. Designed by Marcel Wanders, the pool is surrounded by soft pillows, lush gardens with hammocks and a maze of paths with relaxation areas, secret paths and “romantic spots”. The terrace on the second level offers wide spaces for dinners and private events with a great view of the sunset. The outdoors feature pieces from Kettal collection such as the Pavillions that offer shelter from the sun in Miami.
