For almost 30 years Saba Italia has earned a place of honour among the most important made in Italy design brands. Saba has become an expression of modern society in continuous evolution thanks to a collection that successfully embraces several different styles.
“Harmony and creativity for perfect living” is not only the company’s slogan but is above all the inspiring principle of the entire collection. Saba is characterised by a style which is never banal, which recalls past traditions but always with an eye towards the future. Moreover, the search for absolute relax urges the company to experiment new welcoming styles but never neglecting attention to detail.
Colours, shapes and material are the true protagonists of the stylistic experimentation that the company has successfully conducted since 1988, the year it was founded. The Saba collection foregoes excesses in favour of an immaculate and refined style: the flowing forms of its furniture come to life thanks to vibrant shades that go from blue to grey, ochre yellow to green, pink to purple.
Saba has created a “tailor-made” design by customising every piece of furniture. Far from the rigid and conventional schemes, projects can be adapted to any style and need thanks to the wide choice of modules and coverings.
Ideas become practical thanks to the collaboration of the best designers of the moment. Names such as Sergio Bicego, Paolo Grasselli, Giuseppe Viganò, Dainellistudio and Emilio Nanni have succeeded in interpreting Saba’s philosophy in a new and original way.
Pixel is definitely one of Saba’s most popular sofas. Designed by Sergio Bicego, this sofa is a best seller the world over and has made personalisation its visiting card.
All its seats feature special quilting that renders the sofa even more comfortable. Pixel comes in a leather or fabric covering and is also available in the original patchwork combination whereby different coverings can be put together as desired.
Pixel is Saba’s most popular sofa. Its strong point lies in the fact that it fits into any living area: in fact the seat, arms and back grant the possibility of creating infinitive compositions. Thanks to the exclusive system created by Saba the sofa can be adapted to different needs. Here are some examples of possible combinations:
Inside a bright living room like this project for a house in Hong Kong, the Pixel sofa becomes the protagonist of the room. The possibility of being able to freely arrange the modules grants the possibility of watching the TV or simply relaxing and enjoying the view from the large windows.
Saba offers a wide choice of coverings in fabric or leather. The Creta fabric, made in 63% cotton and 37% linen, is the covering which best suits the characteristics of this sofa. Thanks to its unique softness and refined palette of colours, this fabric collection perfectly matches the flowing forms of the Pixel sofa. White, light grey, dark grey, ecru, brown, blue and olive green are just some of the shades available in the Creta collection.
New York is Saba’s most representative collection thanks to its timeless style, where past and present live together in perfect harmony. The New York collection was born in 2012 and includes a sofa, an armchair, a chaise longue, a chair and a stool, also available in the outdoor version.
What is most striking about this sofa are the large upholstered cushions that curl around you offering total relax. Its hexagonal shape expresses a metropolitan touch, while the refined quilting of the cushions recalls a retro elegance.
The seat has a fine reinforced steel structure with black chrome, glossy chrome or white painted finishing. The sofa is available in the New York Suite version with quilting and in the New York Soft version with a more modern design.
New York is a modern sofa, but not too much: choosing the right covering is very important in order to fully enhance its soft and welcoming style. The fabric collection that fully interprets the spirit of this sofa is most certainly Lario, a selection of brightly coloured velvets with a sought-after vintage touch. Velvet creates a particular game of light and shade lending vitality to the New York sofa, making this the most popular covering among our customers.
Primo Quarto is the bookcase by Saba that takes inspiration from the crescent moon. A dynamic design that revolutionises the image of the classic bookcase in favour of a piece of furniture which is not only beautiful but also functional.
The design of the Primo Quarto bookcase renders it light and harmonious and absolutely unique: a series of tilted shelves contribute in highlighting its curvilinear style. This bookcase is available in the standing or wall version, in matt white lacquered wood.
The Ziggy collection manages to interpret the eclectic spirit of Saba in an innovative way more than any other. Common use materials such as iron, rope and wood take on unusual styles becoming irresistible design objects. The collection includes a series of small tables and pouffes available in a barrel or hourglass version, with coloured strips weaved onto reinforced steel structures.
Ziggy is available with structure and weaving in the following colours: white/grey (Ral 9002), pale green (Ral 6021), deep red (Ral 3004) or pastel blue (Ral 5024).
Saba brings comfort and beauty to your indoor and outdoor furniture with a collection of seats and small tables which will transform your garden into a true and proper open air living space. The New York sofa and small tables by Ziggy are also created in an outdoor version thanks to the use of exclusive materials and state-of-the-art technology that render them extremely resistant.
Furnishing your house with the Saba collection means choosing furniture that does not follow trends but creates its own versatile and informal style. Behind each project there is a detailed aesthetic and functional research which makes Saba one of the most appreciated Italian companies.
