In 2014 the Galaxy Hotel has been transformed into the Red Dot Hotel. The building has been completely renovated with the aim to harmonize it as much as possible with its context in Taichung City, in Taiwan.

The hotel, in the idea of the architects, was to bring new life and new energy to the district, telling the story.
The red bricks of the facade recall the heyday of the neighborhood. The LEDs insignia brings nostalgic memories of 40 years ago.

The interiors are designed so that each guest will feel pleasantly at ease. To capture the attention and to make the environment interesting the architects designed a spiral chute made of 102 stainless steel plates for 27 meters in length. The Up chair by B&B Italia adds a touch of glamor to the environment.

In the dining room on the ground floor were used pieces of furniture recovered from the old hotel.

The rooms recreate the comfort and privacy of home. In every room of the hotel are cult pieces of contemporary design as the Eames chair by Alivar and the aforementioned Up chair by B&B Italia.
