Design and fashion have a very close relationship which often results in collaborations between stylists and designers. When it comes to contamination, Kartell is always at the forefront, experimenting unusual partnerships like the one with Collistar that combines design and make up in “Transparenze” and “Grace K” projects.
The last collaboration of the prestigious furniture and home accessories brand is the one with Italian fashion designer Emilio Pucci, who “dressed up” Madame armchairs by Philippe Stark to celebrate the city of Milan for Expo 2015.
Madame Milano, with a bright yellow upholstery representing the Duomo and the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, is part of the project Cities of the World by Emilio Pucci. Other versions of Madame made by the designer depict the Spanish Steps in Rome, the skyscrapers of New York, Avenue Montaigne in Paris and the skyline of Shanghai.
Madame Milano is a limited edition and is part of a temporary exhibition at Expo 2015.
