The Alias company was founded in Bergamo in the late 1970s by Enrico Baleri, Forcolini Carlo, Francesco Forcolini and Giandomenico Belotti. Since the beginning, the company bases its success on the artistic contribution of the top designers of the moment, such as of Mario Botta, Gabriele and Oscar Buratti, Alberto Meda and Jasper Morrison. The winning combination of brilliant ideas and innovative materials have created a furniture collection with an unique and modern design. Alias begins its successful career presenting the Spaghetti chair designed by Giandomenico Belotti, this chair has been one of Alias’ first creations to become part of the MoMA collection in New York. In 1982 was introduced the Seconda chair by Mario Botta and the Laleggera chair by Riccardo Blumer, winner of the 1998 Compasso D'Oro. These chairs become suddenly famous, thanks to their expressive design and their lightweight, able to meet the different needs of modern life.
The Alias collection offers different design items to furnish every environment of the house, from the living room to outdoor spaces, from the bedroom to the office.
