The Arper company was founded in 1989 in Treviso, as the evolution of a small leather manufacturing company founded by the Feltrin family. At the end of the 90's, thanks to the determination of Luigi Feltrin, the founder of the company, and the interest in design of his sons, Mauro and Claudio, Arper starts an ambitious industrial plan that will make it one of the most appreciated Italian companies worldwide.
New technologies and innovative materials mark the transition from craft to industrial design.
Thanks to important collaborations with the best designers, such as Jean-Marie Massaud, James Irvine and Simon Pengelly, the company established itself in the international furniture field. A fundamental step for the Arper development is certainly the collaboration with the Lievore Altherr Molina studio, founded by Alberto Lievore and Jeannette Altherr. From this collaboration comes the Catifa chairs collection, which has sold over two million pieces since 2011. The Arper philosophy is based on the constant search for new, original and innovative shapes that are able to respond well to the contemporary needs. In recent years, the production has focused on the chairs and tables for common spaces in large work environments. Versatility and flexibility are the key words of all Arper collections. Among the most famous collections we find Aston, Catifa, Duna, Kinesit, Juno and Masai.
