The Budapest sofa is on of the best-seller couches of Baxter, leader company in the field of Made in Italy furniture.

The features of Budapest sofa that immediately catch the attention are its huge volumes and composition of the structure in big blocks. Only available in the linear sofa version, it comes in two dimensions, 240 cm and 310 cm with several seats. Big cushions, big armrests, clean and strong lines and low, thick metal feet: these are the formal features of the Budapest sofa that combine with very generous padding and to the maximum comfort level. This make Budapest an element that is suitable for many environments. The product line is completed by a pouffe of big dimensions, perfect to be placed next to the couch.

The Budapest sofa structure is made of double-paneled fir and poplar. Its feet are in brushed unfinished metal, with antitrust protection with matte varnish, while the springing is possible thanks to elastic straps of covered rubber. Seat and backrest cushions are generously padded in washed and sterilized goose down with pad in differentiated density polyurethane.

As for all products of Baxter, a company popular for the high quality and beauty of its coverings, the Budapest sofa is not available in fabric, but only in different leather categories. In this specific case, to preserve the high quality and comfort standard of the product, the manufacturer recommends a double covering: rigid leather for the structure and soft leather for the seat cushions.

Finally, don't get confused about the Budapest sofa: it has a very similar namesake, Budapest Soft, produced by Baxter, but available in different structures and versions.

Delivery costs
Unless otherwise indicated, our estimates also include transport costs. The same are calculated from time to time based on the city of delivery and the size of the furniture chosen. Depending on the destination, the offer may include any duties and taxes.

Delivery times
All products, except those of display ready for delivery, must be ordered from the company that makes them, each time according to the characteristics chosen (color, fabric, finish ). The times that characterize an order are the following:

  • 8-9 weeks for the PRODUCTION of the furniture: from the moment the order is confirmed until the goods are available in our warehouse (August and December excluded);
  • 1 week for QUALITY CONTROL: in this phase we check the conformity of the goods with respect to the order, its integrity and arrange the shipment to the requested address;
  • 1 week for DELIVERY in Italy or in European Union countries;
  • 2-5 weeks for DELIVERY to countries outside the European Union.

To protect the furnishings during the shipping phase, we make to measure, in our carpentry workshop, additional protections in wooden boxes. We only use leading freight forwarders in the sector, which have branches all over the world, specializing in the transport of furniture. Also included is an all-risk insurance that covers any damage due to transport, so as to guarantee maximum safety for those who buy.

Can I get a quote over the phone?
Our telephone customer service is at your disposal to clarify all your doubts both on products and on how to purchase, but does not provide prices over the phone. To get a quote you must send a request directly through the site www.tomassini.com or by email at [email protected]

If I request a quote, can I get the price right away or do I have to wait?
The quote is not an automatic process but there are people who have to prepare it considering all the details of the items requested, so it requires time and attention. We are usually able to respond within 4-5 working days.

I requested a quote but have not received a reply. What should I do?
Check that the quote has not finished in the "Spam" folder: if you have not received a reply within 4-5 working days, you will have to contact us at [email protected] specifying the product of your interest and the possible city of delivery. If you are requesting a quote for the first time, check that you have written your e-mail correctly otherwise you will not receive any reply!

Can I request a special quotation to furnish an entire room?

I have already received a quote and I want to buy. How do I do it?
To proceed with the purchase you will need to provide us with the billing and delivery data. At that point we will send you an order form with all the details of what you have chosen (description, price, technical data sheet, photographs, finishes, etc.), with the payment methods, our bank details to make the bank transfer. down payment, and all our conditions of sale.

What are the payment conditions for purchasing?
To proceed with a purchase, 50% of the amount is required upon confirmation of the order, and the balance when the goods are ready to be shipped. You can pay by bank transfer, credit card (only at our headquarters) or financing (only at our headquarters).

You will always be updated via email on the status of your order, and when the goods are ready in our warehouse we will contact you for delivery.

What are the additional wooden packaging?
Before making an international shipment, after having carried out the quality control, in addition to the standard packaging provided by the producers (usually polystyrene and cardboard) we build additional wooden boxes to guarantee maximum protection.

What happens if what I ordered arrives broken?
If the goods arrive damaged there is an insurance policy, always included in our shipments, which allows the replacement of the items.

What happens if what I get is not what I ordered?
Before making a shipment, we always check the quality and compliance with the order. However, if you receive anything other than what you ordered, we will arrange a free replacement.

How much do customs and taxes cost for an international shipment to my country?
Each country has different costs. During the purchase phase, we will put you in contact with the office of our forwarder in your area, so that we can accurately quantify them. For some countries we are able to calculate and pay these costs for you too, providing an All Inclusive service (DDP - Delivered Duty Paid).

What does Ex-works yield mean?
If you have received our quote with Ex-works delivery from our showroom, it means that the price we have provided refers only to the goods: you will take care of the transport directly (costs and risks), collecting directly at our headquarters, and all ancillary charges (any taxes, duties, etc ...).

Which means C.I.F. (Cost, Insurance and Freight)?
If you have received our quote with C.I.F. port (or airport), it means that the price we have given you includes both the goods and the transport from our warehouse to the port (or airport) indicated. You will have to take care of the delivery from there to your address (costs and risks), and any additional charges (taxes, duties, etc ..., for the countries that provide for it).

What does D.A.P. surrender mean? (Delivered At Place)?
If you have received our quote with D.A.P. your address, it means that the price we have given you includes both the goods and the transport to your address (street level). You will only have to deal with any additional charges (taxes, duties, etc ..., for the countries that provide for it).

Which means D.D.P. (Delivered Duty Paid)?
If you have received our quote with D.D.P. your address, it means that the price we have provided includes: the goods, transport to your address (at street level), and all ancillary charges relating to customs clearance (taxes, duties, etc ...). You will only have to pay any local taxes.

Can you deliver to my home?
It is possible only in the Italian territory, upon request during the purchase phase, while all international deliveries are made exclusively to the street level and it is necessary that the customer provides assistance to the carrier for the unloading of bulky items .

Do you ship items of the same order separately?
If the order includes several items, unless otherwise agreed during the purchase phase, a single shipment will be made, which will take place after the arrival of all the products in the warehouse and after having carried out the check quality.
